HARK THE HERALD ANGELS SING

Rob reading the REAL CHRISTmas story to the boys. Hopefully they heard at least a little of it. They're kind of single focused on Christmas day.
Have you ever seen such a sad birthday cake for Jesus? I won't tell you what the boys thought it looked like, but you can use your imagination. It's the thought that counts, right??
If I could figure out how to use my camera timer then we could have a picture of all five of us on Christmas day. Maybe next year, huh??

Man, did we have a super blessed Christmas!!! Hope yours was too.

CHRISTMAS IN OUR HEARTS

I thought maybe I would put up a post that was a little more Christmas-y than "the bird" story. So we had some Christmas fun with our little friend Nicole the other day. And by Christmas fun I mean, Mommy got to shop some more, oh and the boys got to see Santa. Jaydie was MIA with Daddy at a bike show; way cooler than Santa.

NEW AND IMPROVED

Jayden's glasses were in desperate need of being replaced, as you can see, but he insisted on wearing them until the new pair were in his hands. I almost threw those things out in the middle of the street to be run over, (accidentally, of course) rendering them unwearable, but decided against it after all. Thankfully Jaydie's glasses came sooner than expected and the old pair is out of my life forever.

Speaking of our sweet Jaydie, here's a little nugget of info for ya. Our Bible-reading, verse-memorizing, piano-playing sweetie was giving his little neighborhood friends the bird the other day. Praise Jesus he doesn't know what it means officially, he just knows it's bad. He was mad at his friends and must have thought, "well, this will show them!!" After some reproof we found out that he learned it from the neighborhood children (no, I'm not giving people the bird in the car). So, we don't need to send our kids to school to learn foul things, they can pick stuff up right here on our culdesac. So much for trying to live in a homeschool bubble.

ORGANIZATION = PURE HAPPINESS

Why does this make me so happy?? Sure, my house is a complete pig sty, but my cupboards are like pure beauty. I have some serious issues.

A VERY GRAMMIE AND GRAMPIE CHRISTMAS

It might seem from these pictures that the boys wear these shirts alot/everyday, when in all actuality I didn't pull my camera out till the last day they were here. Am I sick or something??
We had such a nice Christmas celebration with Grammie and Grampie!! We got to see the Nutcracker (see, we have culture in the AV), open presents and eat lots. It was like perfection if you ask me. Thanks guys for everything (especially the kites which the boys ask to fly every ten minutes), let's do this again sometime.

UNCLE KERRY IS THE BOMB...

The boys and their cousins are fortunate enough to have a fire chief for a great uncle (and I mean that literally). So he pulled out all the stops when we came. We got to sit in the helicopter, watch it take off, ride in the truck, and spray the fire hose!! It was actually my first ride in a fire truck too and I'm not sure who was more giddy; me or the children. A huge thanks to Uncle Kerry. Fight those fires with all your might!!

SWEETIE AND MOMMA ARE THE BOMB...

I got to go see Dena and her sweet family this weekend and her newest babe Fisher!! Isn't he a doll face, muffin pie, cupcake?? (That's right, pulling out all the nicknames now) Momma and Sweetie held down the fort while I was gone and I'm soooooo thankful!! I didn't realize what a professional newborn photog I was until I took these pics. So, I know that half of our church is pregnant right now, if you pay me lots of money I would be glad to take your photos for you. You are welcome!!

COUSINS, GLORIOUS COUSINS

My boys are so enthralled with cousins; theirs and everyone else's. How is it that they can go a year and a half without seeing them and then as soon as their eyes meet they're best friends? There must be some sort of special cousin bond that is formed supernaturally. Is it in the womb or what??

SEE...

...we still play with our toys. We've had this GEO Tracks since Jaydie was two. You can tell how indestructible it is by the way the twins haven't figured out how to destroy it yet. Although they did manage to leave one of their trains out in the backyard so it could be fried to death by the sprinklers. Is battery acid bad for you?
And we still use our trampoline that we've had for like two years. Now that's a world record in our house!! I think they like it better now that they have ripped the safety net to shreds. You know, they can have way more dramatic falls that way.

We also play with things that probably shouldn't be played with, like traffic cones. You gotta give him some points for creativity on this one though, right??

HALLOWEEN HUNKS

It hurt my heart a little that the twins weren't matching this year, but I thought it would be okay if I let them have a little bit of their own identity. I know, that was so mature of me, don't you think. Even Daddy joined in on the fun.

He's using his Jedi powers to force me to give him another Tootsie Roll.
Yenner really is a freakishly strong little boy.
Just like the pirates of yesteryear....showing his underwear. He's also sporting a Davey Crocket hat. His hair isn't really that big, but wouldn't it be cool if it was?? P.S. Leave a comment Noel.

PUMPKIN PROWESS

Our annual pumpkin gospel lesson. In response to "I scoop the mushy gushies, like God cleans out my sin." Jaydie says, "Are there seeds in our sin?" Where does he come up with this stuff?
Here is our very Biblical pirate carving. Rob did an excellent job!!
I bet you can't tell which one is mine. Is prowess a word?
