BEACH BOYS

Is that so wrong that we let the boys play in the showers?? I don't think they contracted any diseases from it and they were having so much fun. At one point a group of people stopped to take a picture of them because they thought it was so funny. Constant entertainment from these boys, I tell you.

We went again to Santa Monica and rented bikes. It was totally fun!! Mommy heard that we shouldn't go in the water because of pollution or something nasty so instead the boys just played in the showers where everyone rinses off (maybe that wasn't the best decision). Thanks Grammie and Grampie for yet another fun day (and treating us to Sharky's). Memories that will last a lifetime.

ROASTING/BURNING MARSHMALLOWS

Rob was disappointed with his charcoal-like marshmallow. But it's yummier that way.

Jaydie with a rather sharp stick in his mouth...trying to get every last bit.
Yenner looking at his Daddy affectionately, as if to say "this is really great and I just love you."

SLIP-SLIDIN' AWAY

We totally have not been bored out of our minds at all without our Gardners. We have a life of our own and we do fun stuff like constantly. Even though we scared everybody off with our Fifths Disease rashiness, we have been having a blast just sitting around our house. No really, look...

Did you know that sticking your tongue out helps you do things better....like playing piano and getting maximum speed on the slip and slide??
The title of this blog is a song. Can you name that tune (or the artist) Momma?? Did you know Momma was on Name That Tune in the 80's and she won us a barbeque and a tea set? That's right, she's got mad skills when it comes to naming that tune. I still remember the dress you wore, Momma. Do you?? It was very bright.

A RIBBON???

After winning 3 or 4 of the races we had high hopes for taking the trophy home. But we were totally content with the ribbon. Look, it's written all over Jaydie's face.
Jaydie's like..."are ya kidding me...a ribbon?? Can I get a trophy?"

Little Levites is always a treat!! Jaydie was the star of the show...at least as far as I'm concerned.
This post kind of hurts my heart. Not because Jaydie is so old and growing up lightning fast (although that's pretty sad too), but because it's out of chronological order. This busy Sunday actually came before the Oregon trip, so let's just pretend that it is in proper order and then I can sleep tonight. I know...I have issues. But you agreed to take me in sickness and in health, well this is my sickness (oh wait, that was Rob). Thank you for your prayers.

OREGON AGAIN...

We went to the lighthouse again but this time the twins got to go to the top. None of the boys spit down the center or threw anything so I consider it a success.
Momma and me in our last picture together forever. Just kidding, Momma. Are you crying??

The tide pools were a hoot. Am I a homeschool mom or what??

WE MISS DADDY!!!

This baby wants to call Daddy everyday.
This baby had to go to urgent care, not for the swine flu, but an ear infection and maybe a touch of pneumonia. Which one of your kids at church gave this to him?? Not mad, just curious. This baby probably has what the other baby has. Anyone have any extra antibiotics lying around? Anyone want to hang out with us?? We'll be home Friday.
So here we are Sweetie (with the exception of me, but you know what I look like...an angel). Remember these monkeys?? They will be home and wreaking havoc soon enough. And as a special gift to you from me I promise not to go to the outlet mall for the third time. You're welcome!! Love you and see you soon.

WHALE WATCHING

We paid to see whales but saw sea lions instead. Here we have some $30 sea lions.

The children were nervous at first but then felt comfortable enough to jump and run around on the boat.
