READER POLL

It's time for all you blog stalkers to come out of the woodwork (are there any? Maybe there really are only four people reading this blog). I'm doing a survey about tips. Not tips like, "don't eat yellow snow" or "look both ways before you cross the street", but how much do you tip your hair stylist? A friend couldn't believe that I would tip anything less than 20%, like you would a waitress, but I am just wondering what you think. Here's a picture.

OK, so I googled it :) and everyone was saying different things. One thing was consistant, that if they are the owner you don't have to tip as much because they are already making a lot more profit. Mostly people said 10 to 15 percent. It probably also depends on the type of salon you go to. Also if you really like your hair stylist and you want her to want to do a good job than tip well. Wow this is a long comment!

I always tip 20 percent...but thats just me. I guess because as a teacher...I like to feel appreciated from time to time and that little extra note of encouragement or pat on the back means the world to me. So, I guess in a way my tip is my hair stylists pat on the back...ya know? Thats the way I look at it. :) I can't see the other comments. Boo! I would love to know what others think too. :)
